Life is Good

In the eyes of the Chinese government and the rest of the world Cooper is officially our son as of this morning. We went back to the government building and signed paperwork to make it official. After that we went to the notary office for more paperwork and pictures. We are hanging out at the hotel playing and walking the hallways. Life is so good.

Yesterday afternoon he woke up from his nap with tons of smiles and lots of happy baby noises. He loves to hold onto your finger and walk up and down the hallway. Someone has taught him to give kisses and they are so wonderful! He loves to run between us and have us pick him up and give him snuggles. He is so sweet.

At dinner, it started to feel like reality was setting in for us. We each had our first moments of "Oh my gosh what have I gotten myself into!" He is hungry all of the time and if we would let him, he would eat everything! We fed him noodles, cantaloupe, beef, dumplings, & apples and mango baby food. Food makes him very happy. Bedtime went really well. We had a few seconds of panic and tears when I tried to put him in the bath tub. He has never had a bath before. I let him stand and hold on to me for dear life as Ryan used a washcloth to clean him. I hate to say this but he was a little stinky. It is so hot and sticky humid here and he is a sweaty fireball. He was happy to get out of the tub. We gave him a bottle and he was sound asleep by 8:00pm. He had a few coughing fits throughout the night and every time he would make a noise we jumped to check on him. He woke up happy this morning at 6:00am.

Now for what everyone really wants... The pictures! ~Ronda

Grizzy and Cooper

Not Very Impressed with the Bath

All Smiles! He has 8 teeth in fully and 6 that are coming in!

Funny story - so only the second time we have seen tears. He kept throwing his toys so Ryan looked and him and said "No Cooper". He looked up at Ryan with the most pathetic face and got big huge tears! Ryan picked him up and Cooper started giving his dady kisses but because of his cold and him crying he had snot everywhere! But all he wanted to do was give kisses! It was so gross but So sweet!
